The 317 acre lake is located northeast of Shelbyville off KY 1779 and is also visible from US 60 between Shelbyville and Clay Village.
The lake is primarily used for fishing. It is one of the best bass lakes for its size in the state. Fishery include: largemouth bass, hybrid stripers, catfish, crappie, bluegill and rock fish. Many fishermen report catching fish over 5 pounds regularly. The record largemouth bass for this lake is over 10 pounds.
